Our Small Group ministry will be starting a new study called, “The Secret of Happiness, A Study in the Beatitudes.” The study will begin the week of February 19. Pastor Denver has recorded a video session in which he discusses a different Beatitude each week. We have twenty groups formed that meet on various nights and times. If you are not involved in a small group, contact Lyn Richard at the church office, 740-698-2292.

CCWC is beginning a new ministry of giving in partnership with Good Words. We ask that each Sunday when you come to church, you bring with you a non-perishable food item (canned goods, pastas, cereals, etc.) to donate to the food drive. The food will then be taken to Good Works each week. Those who prefer to donate financially, please place your money in an offering envelope (mark “Food Drive”) and place in the offering plate. Cash monies will be used to purchase perishable items each week, such as fruits and vegetables, milk or bread.
Be looking for bulletin inserts each month where we will highlight specific needs that Good Works has posted on their website for the month, which will include food and non-food items (masking take or Clorex wipes) that Good Works regularly needs.
This ministry will also need volunteers to help with organizing and transporting the donated items to Good Works each week. If you are interested in helping out in this way, please circle “F” on the Communication Card and give us your name and contact information and place in the offering plate.
Because we in the CCWC community are many, we can make a significant impact as we reach out to help this local, Christ-centered organization in demonstration of God’s love for the homeless and needy in our area!
